People are often interested in seeing my paintings in progress. Though, I am not always comfortable showing the progression of my paintings before they’re complete. My concern being that the viewer won’t be seeing the painting the way it is intended to be viewed. For “Linus” I decided to take several progression pictures from start to finish. Side by side it is interesting to see the stages. The first image is a warm toned underpainting and initial sketch done in acrylic paint. Oil paint is then used starting with the darker tones and building up to the highlights. I am happy with the outcome and may share more progression pictures in the future.
