On March 10, 2018 I will be releasing a small collection of new work at Argyle Fine Art in a feature titled "Wintertide".  The new work is based on time I spent on the coast this winter when the weather had produced some turbulent waves and soft light. I am excited to share these new works with you as they not only introduce a new colour palette but a new energy in the water.  If you have any questions, please contact Argyle Fine Art directly.  Here is a sneak peek of one of the pieces that will be shown:

I am thrilled to announce that I will have a suite of paintings shown at James Baird Gallery in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland.  My work will be part of a group show titled "Water" which opens on August 5, 2017.  This is my first time showing outside of my own city.  I am both excited and humbled as my work will be shown alongside work of some very talented artists.  I'd like to share two images which will be in the show.  They are both 40x48, oil on canvas.

This will be my fourth year participating in the annual group show "Pre-Shrunk" at Argyle Fine Art.  All the works of art measure just 4"x5".  There are usually hundreds of miniature paintings from various artists in the show so the variety of subject, style and medium is really amazing to see!  The opening is Friday, January 20, 2017. Here is a sneak peek of two of my six submissions below (done with oil paint on Arches Oil Paper on wood).

Preparing for my first solo show was one of the hardest things I've done.  For six months I went through periods of serious self doubt and frustration along with some moments of sudden realization and inspiration.  It was a bit of a rollercoaster for me emotionally but I learned a lot and grew as an artist.  Finishing the body of work felt incredibly rewarding and I could not be happier with how the show went. The amount of support and positive feedback I received was so encouraging.
